Stuff that's Happening
I just watched Star Trek into Darkness. I won't write a full review, because I don't want to spoil it's huge plot twists, but I'll just say that it was mostly a very good movie, but will likely stir some "Khan-troversy" among fans.

STAAAAARRRRRRRRR GLITCH!!!!!!!!!!
Aargh!!! There's some kind of weird glitch happening! The stars on this flipnote won't show up. At first I thought that nobody was adding any, but then I tried adding a few stars just as a test, and they didn't show up. Same thing with the comments. I'm trying to add stars to your comments, and it isn't working either. I guess it isn't important, since Hatena is about to shut down anyway, I just don't understand why it's happening. Can anyone explain this to me? I may have to repost this flipnote on Saturday if it doesn't get back to normal soon.
Thanks for the comments, anyway.

Random Thought
One thing that's starting to bug me is the fact that I'm accidentally misspelling a lot of words on Haiku. I just type these things as fast as possible most of the time without paying attention. I'm a writer, though, so I need to stop embarassing myself.

-
Stuff that's Happening
Yeah. I liked Digital Love too. A LOT of the stuff on their new album is done in that style.

Stuff that's Happening
Yeah, I know all about Daft Punk. I'm a big fan of theirs. I just didn't know who made the remix or if it could be downloaded anywhere.

Stuff that's Happening
On a related note, does anyone know where to find or download the version of "Harder Better Faster Stronger" used in "Boo Music Video 3" and all those othr flipnotes? I thought it was a pretty awesome remix, but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere on the internet other than Hatena. One creator said it was a "DJ Hillis REmix", but I type that in and nothing came up.

Stuff that's Happening
Well.... I guess. I didn't like that particular song just because it was about sex... which is kind of dirty and isn't really my idea of a cool Daft-Punk song, but if you like it that's fine. It had pretty good singing, though.

Daft Punk is back. Most of you Hatena guys have heard their song "Harder Better Faster Stronger" like a billion times, so you should know. I'm a bit excited about this, since Daft Punk got me interested in pure EDM in the first place. This album takes on a more disco-tone, though. It isn't as heavy or cool-sounding as usuall DP works, but the vocoder lyrics let me know they haven't changed too much.

I sometimes feel that I'll never be able to deal with the fact that "Spectacular Spider-Man" and "ThunderCats" were both cancelled after 26 episodes, and yet some pretty lousy animated shows have continued to run for a number of years.

Stuff that's Happening
I see. Well, I didn't really care about the new pokemon so much as the new gameplay, since I've had a solid team going since Gen. 4. I'm a bit upset by the fact that the new generation is starting so early. It feels like I just got everything settled in generation 5, but oh well. If you have a game, we should trade codes or something. A battle would be fun! I lurv pokemon battles. I'm really a fan of the games moreso than the children's show, I just felt the need to blog my surprise about that one recent episode.

Stuff that's Happening
My mind has been blown. The Pokemon show is actually getting moderatly good again. I was excited to watch it because N was finally going to appear in the show (fangirls beware), but I was also terrified that they'd turn him into a poorly-voiced one-dimensional manequine like every other character in the show. To my absolute shock, his voice was actually GOOD. His animaiton and poses look like something out of a SERIOUS anime, and his dialogue was actually somewhat well-written. Plus, team rocket is finally back to normal and Cheren is appearing. With the Unova league behind us, the 5th generation show actually seems to be getting GOOD. I've absolutely disliked the 5th generation thusfar due to Iris and Cilan being heinously annoying and Team Rocket being transformed and it's overly simple battles, but the show seems to be getting on track. Cilan and Iris and Ash haven't changed, but N seems so self-consious compared to the rest of the show that it's as if an entirely different studio team was hired just for his parts. Maybe this cheesy little show is finally looking up again, and I can grow to like it again rather than watch it as a guilty pleasure or to numb my brain before sleep. Plus, the new movie may actually tie in to the show plotline, something they haven't done in well over ten years. I can't wait to see what Dogasu's Backpack has to say about this.

Stuff that's Happening
It seems Knife Party (The Best brostep band around) is previewing their newest EP on soundcloud. I can't wait to be able to actually download the long-leaked track "power glove". I've been planning on doing a music video for their song from last year, "Bonfire", for a while, but when Nintendo anounced the new 3D flipnote, I decided to wait until it came out. Expect it to be one of the first things I post/make there.

Day 6:
Well... I'm about to go see a castle. We've finnished our mission (as far as we know, that is). I've got a lot of memories in my head that I'll be taking home. I preached to a small church a bit, and it was the first time I've done that. This has been a really interesting experience! I'll be heading home tommorow. Pray that I return safely (and don't accidentally leave anything here).
P.S. I'm going to eat some (you guessed it): Shwarma. Yup. Gonna' feel like an Avenger. Not sure how much I'll actually like it, though.

Day 4: I've been in Romania for several days now. I must say that it is a very beautiful country. Despite being poorer than America, there's a lot of art put into the building designs and they're all very different and interesting. People have been coming to our building for eyeglasses and prayer. I've prayed for them with help from translators. I haven't felt like such an instrument of my creator before. It's a pretty great experience. I'll be sharing a word in church tonight. Pray for me, and for the people here. I've met some really interesting people here, including a 14 year-old boy named Nati who speaks a fair amount of English and seems really interested in me and my country. There are some beautiful carpathian mountains out here. I went on a sureal 10-hour plane flight in a German-staffed plane to get here, but it's been worth it. I think I'm becoming part of a great revival in this village. There's an extension of my Church here. I know a Romanian woman who lived in America with her American husband in our church for a while, and they live back here now. It's nice to see them again. Our church kind of has two parts now, on opposite ends of the world. What a nice thought.
P.S. Sorry about failing to send you updates. I don't have WiFi too often here.

I'm finally caught up on season 7. Pretty good stuff. I really admired the beauty of the "Rings of Akhaten" episode. What do you guys think of Clara? I'm excited about the 50th anniversary special! Many rumors are circulating. David Tennant(10th Doctor) may be involved, and Peter Davidson(5th Doctor) is threatening to make his own video if he and the classic doctors don't get to make a comeback.

This is a chart my girlfriend showed me that determines your level of "social self exile" based on the type of music you like to listen to. Where to you place?
P.S. Almost everything I like is in level 4 (IDM, Ambient, and old-school EDM) and level 2 (Metal, Dubstep, and New-School EDM). I guess that averages out making me a 3. I notive, however, that they didn't mention classical or broadway style music, so this list is somewhat incomplete. I like classical music too (Well, Romantic-era and on, at least). I'm a synesthete, so my tastes in music usually depends on wether or not my brain can escape into it. That explains my tastes in general, and why I like interesting electronic sounds so much. I also have a very strong sense of rythm and prefer music I listen to to be either heavy or soft. I usually don't like music that is neither.
P.S
I may be wrong about liking old-school EDM. Where exactly is the line drawn between old-school and new-school?
P.P.S. If you know any more funny charts like this, link 'em here.

I DON'T hate him. I didn't like him at first, manily because I found him more creepy and unsettling (THe guy shows us his underwear every other episode he's in, for cryinng out loud) than actually funny. I like him now though, Mainly because of the whole Simon plotline. Simon is great. I agree about Marceline, though, I often don't get her either.

Adventure Time
I have something unusual and random to talk about. Mainly because I just got done watching the Adventure Time "Simon and Marcy" episode. I remember that, a couple of years ago, I really didn't like the show. I had enjoyed the original short that it was based on several years before it came out, and was kind of disapointed when they made it into a show. Mainly because I thought that the series wasn't very funny compared to the short and was too creepy, nasty, confusing, and slightly-perverted for kids. I watched the show build up a huge fandom over the years and was confused as to why. I watched a few more episodes and still didn't get it. I looked into the reasons for its acclaim a bit more and ater about ten or so episodes, it finally clicked with me. I had to adjust my expectations. I realised that it was meant to be niether a comedy nor a story, but a weird escapist treat. The way that the show intentionally deprives you with it's lack of explanations, random episode endings, odd script, and wonky/ambient music that lacks any pattern or reason. Simon and Marcy was the best episode ever. It was full of so much understated emotion that it made me feel downright sad. That's one thing I really like about the show. It has some unlikable characters, but it makes you feel sorry for them, rather than dislike them. I absolutely hated Ice King when I was younger and still hated things, but that episode made me feel genuinly sorry for him.

Anouncement
Beacons EP. 11 will be posted on Thursday. It will be the second to last issue. I'm also working on the final animation I'll be posting to Hatena. It's finnished, I just won't be posting it yet. Anyone excited about Easter? I SURE AM! I love soaking myself in the beatiful, painful memories that Easter brings about. I hope that you all enjoy yourselves! Easter means victory. It means Salvation. It means that the little scared child crawling around in the mud is found by it's father, it's meek cries heard, and pulled out of the muck. Anyway, anyone excited about Daft Punk's upcoming "Random Access Memories" album? I can't wait for some dafty goodness.

It's the End of Flipnote Hatena as We know it.
(Cue moronic R.E.M. Parody)
Alright, so this is important. It seems that this version of Flipnote Hatena is ending soon. Fortunatly, it's ending at the perfect time for me. My series is almost done, and like Ronald, I plan on finnishing it in time. My only regret is that I probably won't be able to transfer my series to the new Hatena. I don't want to have to remake it. T^T Anyway, I'm feeling very nostalgic because of this. I'm remembering all of the great flipnotes and creators that have influenced me over the years. Many of them have disapeared, but I still remember them fondly. Who knows, maybe this new Hatena will encourage old creators to come back and make some new stuff. Anyway, I'm currently on a mission to use my new SD card to go back and redownload literally hundreds of Flipnotes from the past. I may make a finale extravaganza, so look forward to it!
